§ 1 Scope
(1) These General Terms and Conditions apply to contracts for the temporary rental of hotel rooms for accommodation purposes, as well as all additional services and deliveries provided by the hotel in connection with the stay.
(2) The contractual parties are Hotel Mellum GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “Hotel”) and the guest.
(3) The guest’s own terms and conditions shall only apply if expressly agreed in writing.

§ 2 Conclusion of Contract
(1) The presentation of rooms on the website does not constitute a binding offer but an invitation to book.
(2) The contract is concluded upon booking by the guest and confirmation by the hotel.


§ 3 Services, Prices and Payment
(1) The Hotel is obliged to provide the booked rooms and agreed services.
(2) Rooms are available from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
(3) All prices include the applicable statutory VAT.
(4) Breakfast is included in the room rate.
(5) For stays of fewer than 4 nights, a one-time short-stay surcharge of €7.00 per person will be charged.
(6) The guest is obliged to pay the agreed price. The following payment terms apply:
    - 20% deposit at the time of booking via Stripe
    - Remaining balance payable on site (cash or card)


§ 4 Cancellation and No-Show
(1) Free cancellation is not possible.
(2) In case of cancellation, the following fees apply: 80% of the total booking amount from the time of booking
(3) In case of no-show, 100% of the total booking amount will be charged.
(4) The guest is entitled to prove that no or a lower damage has occurred.


§ 5 Withdrawal by the Hotel
(1) The Hotel is entitled to withdraw from the contract for justified reasons, in particular in cases of:
    - force majeure
    - incorrect or misleading information provided by the guest
    - risks to the hotel operation or safety
(2) In such cases, the guest is not entitled to compensation.

§ 6 Liability
(1) The Hotel is liable for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health, as well as for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty.
(2) Liability for items brought into the hotel is governed by statutory provisions.
(3) The guest is obliged to report any defects immediately.

§ 7 Pets
(1) Pets (dogs) are allowed upon prior request.
(2) A surcharge of €10.00 per dog per night applies.
(3) A maximum of one dog per room is allowed; additional pets only upon request.
(4) Dogs are not permitted in the breakfast room.

§ 8 Smoking Policy
(1) Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the rooms.
(2) Smoking is only permitted on balconies and terraces.

§ 9 Parking
(1) Free parking is available directly at the hotel.
(2) Parking spaces are limited and cannot be guaranteed or reserved.


§ 10 Visitor’s Tax
(1) The applicable visitor’s tax (tourist tax) is not included in the room rate and will be charged separately.
(2) The tax must be paid on site in cash.
(3) Exemptions may apply upon presentation of appropriate documentation (e.g. disability ID), in accordance with local municipal regulations.

§ 11 Final Provisions
(1) Amendments or additions must be made in text form.
(2) German law shall apply.
(3) Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
